This was my first visit to this annual event where travellers from all over UK descend on Appleby in Westmoreland to trade horses,caravans, trailers etc.

They all "camp" on the edge of the town where their stalls are set up, and they take their horses into town to wash them and spruce them up for sale in The River Eden.There is a great atmosphere in the town with lots going on. These are a few of the pictures I took on the day.

I used to be in a Merseybeat group in the early 60's and love the music from that era. So much so, that I started to collect the vintage "picture front" sheet music between the late 50's up to 1970. Every song seems to bring back a memory and I now have about 3000 items in my collection, includig some swaps and duplicates. Vintage sheet music has now become very collectable and many people frame them for wall decoration or as special presents.

There are some fascinating boats and wrecks and several stages in between, scattered along the North West coasts. These pictures are from The Wyre Estuary, Sunderland Point, Skippool Creek and Lower Heswall. Please let me know if you would like a print mounted and framed.
